Mythforge ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Tapestry Crochet mobile application and website (tapestrycrochet.dk). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• When you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and profile picture
• When you sign in with email: your email address
• When you continue as guest (app only): an anonymous user ID
• Community username: When using the website community features, an anonymous community username is auto-generated or chosen by you. Your real name (from Google) is kept private and never shown to other users.

User Data (App)

• Your crochet projects and progress
• Custom designs you create
• App preferences and settings
• Unlocked patterns
• Statistics (stitches completed, time spent, etc.)

User Data (Website Community)

• Patterns you create in the Pattern Maker
• Patterns you submit to the community (publicly visible with your community username)
• Likes and views on community patterns
• Community pattern submissions, including title, description, and tags

Purchase Information (App only)

• Subscription status (monthly supporter, lifetime supporter)
• Purchase history for in-app purchases
• We do NOT store your payment details - these are handled securely by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS)

Automatically Collected

• Device information (model, operating system)
• App/website usage statistics (with your consent on the website)
• Advertising identifiers - app only, for personalized ads if enabled

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app and website functionality
• To sync your data across devices
• To save your progress and custom designs
• To enable community pattern sharing with anonymous usernames
• To moderate community submissions for quality and safety
• To process and manage your subscriptions and purchases (app)
• To display relevant advertisements (app only, for non-supporters)

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using the following services:

• Firebase Authentication: Manages your login credentials
• Firebase Firestore: Stores your projects, preferences, progress, and community patterns
• Firebase Analytics: (Website only, with consent) Aggregated usage data
• RevenueCat: (App only) Manages subscription status and purchase verification

Data is stored on servers located in the European Union and/or United States, in compliance with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR.

5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions (App only)

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. When you make a purchase:

• Payment is processed securely by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS) - we never see your payment details
• RevenueCat verifies your purchase and manages your subscription status
• Your email address may be shared with RevenueCat for customer identification
• Purchase history is retained to restore your purchases on new devices

6. Advertising (App only)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements to non-supporter users in the mobile app. AdMob may collect and use data to show personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings or within the app settings.

The website does NOT display advertisements.

Supporters (monthly or lifetime) enjoy an ad-free experience in the app.

6.1 App Tracking Transparency (iOS only)

When you first open the app on iOS, you will be asked for permission to allow tracking. This permission is used by AdMob to provide more relevant ads and pay us a higher revenue share. If you decline: - You will still see ads (unless you are a supporter) - The ads may be less relevant to your interests - We do not collect any tracking identifier (IDFA) If you accept: - AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) - This is only used by AdMob, never shared with us directly - You can change your mind anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

6.2 Sign in with Apple

If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive: - Your email address (real or Apple's hide-my-email proxy) - Your name (only on the first sign-in) - Your Apple user ID (anonymous to us) Apple's privacy features: - "Hide My Email" creates a private relay address - Your real Apple ID stays private - You can revoke access anytime via Apple ID settings

7. Community Features (Website)

When you use the community features on tapestrycrochet.dk:

• Anonymous usernames: An auto-generated community username is used (e.g. "CrochetFox42"). Your real name from Google is kept private.
• Public patterns: Patterns you submit to the community become publicly visible with your community username after admin approval.
• Moderation: All community submissions are manually reviewed before being published.
• Right to withdraw: You can remove your patterns from the community at any time.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Google (Firebase): For authentication, data storage, and analytics services
• Google Play / Apple App Store / AdMob: For payments and advertising (app only)
• RevenueCat: For subscription and purchase management (app only)
• Other users (community only): Your community username and shared patterns are visible to other users
• Legal authorities: If required by law

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR and applicable laws, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to processing
• Withdraw consent at any time (cookie preferences in footer)
• Opt out of personalized advertising
• Cancel your subscription at any time

You can delete your account directly in the app under Settings → Delete Account, or contact us at support@tapestrycrochet.dk for the website.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account settings (Android) or your Apple ID / App Store settings (iOS).

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

11. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

12. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Purchase records may be retained longer for legal and accounting purposes.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy in the app/website and updating the "Last updated" date.
